We all have cameras close to us. The digital age has made capturing moments and posting them on the countless forms of social media easy and accessible. So why chose a professional? Because you want your memories transformed into long lasting art. Making photographs that can be printed, framed and displayed in your home is something completely different than a camera phone shot. Taking time to frame your life and vision is my passion.

Hi, I'm David Cannella, a portrait photographer living in Bellevue, Washington. Let me first say, The Pacific Northwest is a photographer’s paradise. Not only is it one of the most beautiful places in the world, but Washingtonians are as wonderfully unique and gifted as we are eclectic. I am a native Californian, but am happily acclimated to the culture of the NW. I got a job at Starbucks (yes Starbucks!) - although I still contend McDonald's coffee is pretty good. From there, it was a typical boy meets coffee, boy meets girl, girl drinks coffee, boy and girl fall in love. Photography entered the picture (pun intended) when that coffee loving girl gifted me a camera for my birthday.

Expressing myself through the art of photography has been a gift I never expected. I have been chasing and shaping light since that day. As Life and National Geographic photographer Joe McNally aptly states, "light falls, just make sure it falls in your favor." Keeping with my Seattle identity, my day job is now at Microsoft. Working with computers in IT has helped me refine the technical aspect and enhance my photography. Personally, I'm the proud father of a great young man Cooper, a husband to my funny and talented wife Katie and a truly grateful recovered alcoholic. I love sports - Go Hawks! I can't stand award shows and think ketchup ruins a perfectly good tomato. I love to cook with my wife in our beloved matchbox of a kitchen. I find life and joy when I get out and experience the places and people around me. My passion for life builds the beauty and vision of my photographs. I look forward to meeting you, learning about your story and making photos of you and the people you love. Thank you for visiting my page!

Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow. – Imogen Cunningham
